Fountain Capital Management, L.L.C. (Fountain) specializes in managing high yield bond portfolios focusing on the higher credit quality sectors of the High Yield bond market.  Fountain’s investment strategy is to build a portfolio drawn from companies in growing industries with improving credit profiles.  Fountain seeks to add value over a full market cycle by identifying more credit quality upgrades than the market and by avoiding downgrades and defaults.

Affiliate of Atlantic Asset Management
Fountain became an affiliate of Atlantic in 1997.  Atlantic and Fountain are integrated in many respects, for example:

(i) Fountain manages the high yield allocation of certain Atlantic clients.  (ii) Atlantic provides and operates commingled funds for Fountain managed products.  (iii) Atlantic helped facilitate two CBOs managed by Fountain.  (iv) Atlantic and Fountain have successfully collaborated on new products including a BBB strategy.  (v) Atlantic and Fountain benefit from the ongoing exchange of investment research, investment process concepts and systems support.  (vi) Atlantic provides marketing and client servicing for Fountain.

History and Organizational Structure

Fountain is owned by its senior professionals and Atlantic.  The Fountain team consists of 9 professionals and 6 support staff plus Atlantic’s marketing, client service, research and other support.  Fountain was founded in 1990 and is located in Overland Park, Kansas.
